Volunteer Richard helps load 28 suitcases for the trip to the airport. The long journey from Canada to western Kenya ! It took us 3 days of travelling, with long airport layovers, and a harrowing  9hr. road trip over chaotic roads to reach our destination,  Kakamega. Unpacking all the school supplies, hundreds of new books and much goodwill from Canada.
Itegero Primary School students were full of excitement at seeing all the new books. The children began reading them as as quickly as we could unpack them. A student from Chekombero School for the Hearing Impaired . In all six schools received new books.
Students at Chekombero send their thanks to all our supporters back home. Orphans at The Mukumu Children's Home also received new books to share. Friendship hands made by Canadian children delivered warm wishes to the Kenyan children.
