Our Friend Ebi

Dr. Ebi Kalahi Kimanani was an active member of our Beaurepaire community in the west island of Montreal. With her wonderful presence and engaging manner, Ebi involved those around her in projects to benefit her Kenyan homeland. She grew up in Itegero, Kenya and worked through her local church and community, to assist her homeland.

Ebi, a statistician, biomedical research consultant was involved in establishing ethical clinical trials for vaccines to combat malaria and AIDS in Kenya and Uganda. Tragically, Ebi succumbed from malaria in Feb. 2005.

We honour her memory with our efforts to provide assistance to her childhood community.
