Providing the Gift of Hearing for Deaf Children

We are currently raising funds to assist with new hearing aids for Kenyan children with  a hearing impairment. Life is made even more difficult for these children because of their situation. They are marginalized  and excluded socially For every $2,000.00 we raise  12 more children can be part of the hearing world. The children who are identified as possible beneficiaries are orphaned or living in situations of poverty. They are evaluated medically by  hearing specialists to determine if they can benefit  from a hearing aid. There are currently  198  such children who have been identified in  6 schools in this region by our project coordinator in Kenya. We have had 12 children fitted so far this year and hope to see that number climb with your help.

Providing Clean Water for Children

Providing Children with Clean, Accessible Drinking water helps prevent waterborne disease. Waterborne illness kills millions of children each year!

A community well can be constructed for about $6000.

Providing Educational Support for a Needy Child

$115  will supply  a school uniform, all school supplies, exam fees and one meal of day to support one needy child for a year up to grade 5.

Without help such children would drop out of school due to poverty.

$150 will supply the same needs of a child in grades 6-8. This is the peak period for dropping out of school due to the added costs.

Attaining grade 8 is crucial for a child's chances of future stable employment.

Supplying Mosquito Nets for Children

We supply Bed Nets that Help Prevent Malaria.

Malaria kills and disables millions of children each year!

Providing Poultry - Raising Projects for Communities

Raising poultry provides food security or income which, in turn, lead to self - sufficiency.  

A complete community sized chicken coop can be installed for about $1500. This amount covers the cost of the coop itself, feeding and watering apparatus, vaccinations, 2 cocks and 25 laying hens as well as a very important course of instruction on the healthcare and management of the poultry to ensure success. The animals are selected by an animal health officer who also gives the course.

Installation of Latrines

We raise funds for the installation of new latrines  that meet legal health and safety standards in schools and communities. This will promote better health and sanitation in schools & communities.

Poorly constructed latrines like this one are unsafe and promote spread of disease!

Support of Feeding Programs for Children

We support feeding Programs that are set up for Orphans and Disadvantaged Children at various schools and community groups.

$20 feeds 5 children for one month.

Providing Educational Support for Schools

We help provide mandatory uniforms, library books and educational supplies at impoverished Primary Schools. Many of these schools do not have a single book.
